Mia Ellis '18

Mia is from Montclair, NJ. She majored in quantitative economics and math with a minor in Arabic. She's interested in pursuing a career in economic development, with a specific focus on effective and ethical practices. She's interned as a lobbyist for the Humane Society of the United States, interned for the United States Public Interest Research Group, worked with the Mo Dewji Foundation in Tanzania, and conducted research for the International Food Policy Research Institute in Egypt. She has also worked as a research assistant for a Tufts economics professor in Tanzania and conducted independent research in Tunisia.

Siddharth (Sidd) Divakaruni '17

Sidd is from Munster, IN, and studied International Relations, Sociology, and Colonialism Studies. Sidd was very excited to be a part of NIMEP as the Research Team Coordinator. He looks forward to learning more about the MENA region as a whole via discussion about regional affairs, ongoing conflicts, and cultures.

Ariel Barbieri-Aghib '18

Hailing from San Francisco, California, Ariel studied International Relations with a focus on the EU and former Soviet Union. She also lead a research team focusing on the European Union member states responses to the migrant/refugee countries. Outside of NIMEP, Ariel enjoys hiking, rock climbing, playing frisbee and drinking hot tea on cold mornings.
