Benjamin Cooper (A'20) and Lionel Oh (A'21) went to Tallinn, Estonia, for a joint research project between Tufts, West Point, and the Naval Academy, beginning at the US Embassy in Tallinn. Their research topics ranged from internal and external Estonian security to the financial impact of NATO and EU membership on Estonia. They also looked at how the United States carried out its mission abroad. Meeting with researchers at the International Center for Defense and Security, representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Estonian Defense League, they got a better understanding of not only how the Estonian government represents its citizens but also the way of life and political views of different cities and towns around the country.
