SEACT Leadership

Lionel Oh
Co-Leader
Lionel Oh is a senior from Singapore majoring in international relations (international security) and computer science. An avid believer in public service with an (unhealthy) obsession for anything related to defense, he serves full-time as a Lieutenant in the Republic of Singapore Air Force. At Tufts, he sits on the IR Students Advisory Board (IRSAB) and is currently the co- director for the Alliance Linking Leaders in Education and the Services (ALLIES). He is also an editor for the Singapore Policy Journal at Harvard Kennedy School, and was the former co- president of the Tufts Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia Students Association (SIMSA). In his free time, he looks for food haunts and tries his best to ignore his friends when they tease him about his 12-year contractual bond to the government.

Russell Yip
Co-Leader
Russell Yip is a sophomore from Singapore majoring in quantitative economics and mathematics. He is interested in development economics and issues pertaining to inequality, particularly concerning the Singapore and Southeast Asia contexts. He is currently the president of the Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia Students Association (SIMSA) on campus, and serves as an editor for the Singapore Policy Journal at Harvard Kennedy School. In his free time away from his abstract algebra problem sets, Russell sings and is always on the search for good food.

Edward Tan
Co-Leader
Edward Tan is a freshman from Singapore prospectively majoring in international relations (international security) and history. His academic interests revolve around the regional politics of East and Southeast Asia, as well as social development within the Southeast Asian context. At Tufts, he sits on the executive board of the Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia Students Association (SIMSA), and is an editor for the Singapore Policy Journal at Harvard Kennedy School. He is tied to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and looks forward to applying his college experience towards advancing the diplomatic mission and tasks of the organization. In his free time, Edward plays the drums and dreams passionately about his next surf trip.
