The murder of George Floyd is a tragedy in a long list of violence against Black lives.

To gain a better understanding of the context of racism in the U.S. and to become better informed, the IGL is hosting a conversation, led by Dr. Steven Cohen of the Tufts Education department. He has worked on and thought about these issues for most of his career.

Zoom: https://tufts.zoom.us/j/97640286712

Dr. Cohen will give an introduction and then open to questions and discussion. The is an effort to understand some of the background issues of the history of racism in the U.S. It is an opportunity to ask questions about the structural issues that led to the tragedy, and to have a discussion with each other.
