Elizabeth Hammond, EPIIC '07, with Svetlana Broz, granddaughter of former Yugoslav leader Josip Tito. Liz was hosted and advised by Dr. Broz, a noted cardiologist, who volunteered her services as a physician in war-torn Bosnia when she traveled to Bosnia for her research on "The Long -Term Effects of Trauma in Bosnia- Herzegovina: Rebuilding the Mental Health Care Infrastructure," a case study chapter in her senior honors thesis in psychology on "The Effects of Emotion on Recognition." |
