ALLIES First Annual Lecture

Professor Rosa Brooks of Georgetown University, Foreign Policy magazine, and former Counselor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, will speak about the implications of the US civil-military gap on policy-making. 

The event is cosponsored by Hemispheres, the Tufts international affairs journal, and the Institute for Political Citizenship

Film Screening: The Invisible War

ALLIES, in collaboration with the Women’s Center, will screen Impact Partners’ second Academy Award nominated documentary this season, “The Invisible War.” This is a groundbreaking investigative documentary about one of America’s most shameful and best kept secrets: the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military. The film paints a startling picture of the extent of the problem – today, a female soldier in combat zones is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire.
