PPRI Research Project in Turkey
PPRI launched a research project in the spring of 2012 that is focusing on the evolution of power structures in Turkey over the past two decades. The students have focused their research on the effects of evolving power structures on the Turkish media. Traveling to Istanbul in January 2013, they attempted to better understand how political, economic, and military spheres of power, and the forms of corruption inside these spheres, influence the media, journalists, and the quality of news.
