Amb. Richard C. Holbrooke, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, will receive a 2010 Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award on Thursday, March 4 at 1:30pm in Barnum 008.  His talk is on "Managing the Most Pressing Challenges of Our Time: Reflections on U.S. Afghanistan and Pakistan Strategy."

The Institute mourns the passing of David Cartagena, senior streetworker of the Institute for the Study & Practice of Nonviolence in Providence, Rhode Island. His was one of the most humane and inspirational voices we have ever welcomed in our 25 years. His role as a peacemaker in his community and in the world is so important.
