Join European Horizons and the European Student Association for a discussion on the US and EU response to the COVID19 crisis.

The Trump administration has attracted international criticism, for downplaying the virus and ignoring the advice of medical experts. The United States has been unable to effectively address the pandemic due to political polarisation and the lack of a national strategy.

European countries were much quicker to enact strict social-distancing measures. However, disagreements among European countries regarding border closures, medical equipment, and data sharing, have restricted the EU’s ability to create a coordinated, COVID19 policy.

How successfully has the EU been in addressing cross-border cooperation? How was COVID19 politicized by the US government?

Join us on Sunday, November 15 at 4:30 pm to address some of these pressing issues!
