The modern borders of Africa have been attacked as having no bearing to the ethno-religious situations within each country and being a large contributor to a lot of Africa's vicious civil wars and conflicts. With emerging self-governing regions and rising separatist movements across the continent, how should the global community treat the modern borders of Africa? Are they a legitimate construction that ought to be upheld, or something that should be cast out in favor of new alternatives? Join us in ALLIES as we discuss postcolonial Africa. You don't need any prior knowledge of the topic to join and there will be some short readings there to get you acquainted with the discussion.

We hope to see you there!
