In November, Tufts Women in International Relations hosted their semesterly Tea on Courses event over Zoom.

Tea on Courses is an event designed to provide women studying international relations and related fields a space to discuss courses, professors and career paths. While in past semesters attendees have enjoyed hot tea during the event, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fall 2020’s virtual Tea on Courses unfortunately could not.

The event began with an informal panel discussion featuring seniors Caity Enroth, Daniella Faura, and Haruka Noishiki as panelists. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the panelists’ diverse range of topical and regional interests within the field of international relations. The seniors have focused on security in the Middle East, Latin American studies, and the intersection of psychology and international relations. Breakout rooms followed the panel discussion. Each group also discussed upcoming course registration plans for the Spring 2021 semester.

Women in IR feels the event was successful in providing women at Tufts a space for peer-advising on academic questions and looks forward to continuing the tradition of Tea on Courses in future semesters.
