Tufts students stand in solidarity with Kashmir on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Students gathered on the roof of Tisch Library to “camp-in” to honor the incredible courage of the thousands of Kashmiris who were trapped for endless days and nights on rooftops awaiting rescue. Justine Hardy, a writer and mental health specialist, spoke about her experiences helping Kashmiris heal from psychological trauma. There was also a poetry reading, a display of posters detailing Kashmir's history and the current situation on the ground, and the opportunity for students to write letters and post-cards to the victims of the flooding. The event was well attended, with over 50 students learning and reflecting.
